It is the mission of the Piermont Police Athletic League to offer youths the opportunity to create positive relationships with Police Officers and Community volunteers through athletic and cultural activities. Our goal is to build individual self esteem through team play and hard work and to use supervised activities as a way to promote positive choices in the lives of our young people. Our Programs:
Baseball
Piermont PAL Beginners Baseball is held at the Rittenberg Baseball Field in the month of July. Boys and Girls ages 6 – 9 years of age are welcome to participate. The program runs on Tuesdays at 5:00pm – 6:30pm and Saturdays 9:00am – 11:30am.
Basketball
Piermont PAL offers and open instructional leagues for grades 1 – 3 on Monday from 6:00pm to 7:00pm
Piermont PAL offers and open competitive league (3 on 3) for grades 4 – 7 on Tuesdays 6:00pm to 7:00pm and for grades 7 – 12 on Thursdays 6:00pm – 7:00pm
These programs run for 9 weeks starting on January 22nd for grades 1- 3, January 23rd for grades 4- 7 and January 25th for grades 8 – 12.
The Current Fee for this program is $25.00.
Golf
Our Summer junior Golf club program is available to children from 7 – 18 years old. (still in high school) This is a golf club program not a team. the players will be introduced to the various golf courses available to us. They will also be introduced to golf pros that will give an instructional class to the group as well as be able to play in the county invitational. Players play with a parent or other adults.
This program starts at the end of the school year in June and ends when school starts again in September. This program is geared for beginners, intermediate as well as advanced players.
The golfers paly at a variety of courses including Spook Rock golf course, Broadacres golf club and Rockland Lake Executive courses.
Boxing
We are now taking registration for our boxing program. The program is open to boys and girls from age 10 – 18 years old. The program is held on Tuesdays and Thursdays at the Piermont Community Center starting at 6:30pm. There is a registration fee of $125.00 per child.
Community Center
The Piermont PAL community center is located on Hudson Terrace. The community center offers open baseketball and pick up games inn a supervised atmosphere for youths 18 years and younger.
