In order to insure safe construction of both new houses and buildings and alterations to existing structures, permits must be obtained before any project begins.  The Building Department reviews plans and conducts field inspections to ensure compliance with various codes and regulations pertaining to land use and construction on private property. Before you begin any project you should consult the building department to determine what permits you may need.

The Zoning Board meets on the last Thursday of each month at 7:30 p.m. in the meeting room at Village Hall. The Zoning Board reviews and approves applications for variances and for review of decisions of the Building Inspector. Application forms must be filed with the Zoning Board, along with the appropriate filing fee and plans no later than 30 days prior to the next scheduled meeting in order to be placed on that agenda.
